What We Measure

We measure 4 markers that reflect how your liver is functioning. Your results show where each one stands.

LIVER ENZYMES

ALT — An enzyme found mainly in liver cells and the most specific marker of liver cell health. It's one of the first markers to move when the liver is under strain.

AST — Another enzyme released when liver cells are stressed or inflamed. It's read alongside ALT to build a fuller picture of how your liver is doing.

LIVER PROCESSING

TOTAL BILIRUBIN — A waste product made when your body breaks down old red blood cells. The liver clears it, so your bilirubin level reflects how well that process is working.

LIVER & NUTRITIONAL FUNCTION

ALBUMIN — A protein made by your liver that helps reflect both its function and your overall nutritional status.
